As an old guy in my 40s who was never that good to begin with who was thinking of trying to get into flatland, this isn't encouraging.
Exercise science guy here; I believe learning to ride a unicycle would be a cheat-code to learning dynamic balance points on the bmx bike flatland tricks. Yes, it's a totally different animal with the full bike, but unicycles are pretty hard to learn how to ride due to balance and core engagement coordination. Approaching 40 here, but flatland seems like a great hobby to keep my balance and coordination honed for my later years.
Teaching Matty old school tricks is great to watch. The technicalities involved with old school tricks is crazy! Flatland is epic!
I am an old dude 54. Is their resorces breaking down all sorts of flat land tricks. Sure would like to see them. There was alot in early 80's on vhs
I like watching people struggle like me
Imagine how good heβd be on a set up with flatland geometry
Flatland takes patience and small steps. You need to give everything a LOT of time. These days riders tend to value quick success, giving up quickly when they don't get a trick on the first few trys. The longer the process, the more deeply you learn.
i think the trick first mentioned is called a "time machine" ππππππππππ
I just got a freestyle for the first time in a while to get back into flatland
Took me months to learn this and you did it in an afternoon ha ha
I would really love to learn flatland I live in pueblo colardo can you come teach both my wife and I how
Check out Chimera BMX Japan flatland. Best riding in the world
I landed my first whiplash first try no brakes…took me over a year to learn the footjam whip lol. As long as you shift the weight between ur feet when the bike goes past 12o clock u can ride it out.
The nicest trick was the very last one, skating in a circle, with no hands, and the handlebar spinning. lol
Can u make a video about BMX flatland parts specially rims to use
Whatβs a good bmx bike to order to learn flatland ? For beginner I donβt mind a little costly amount

Whats up with the tiny peg? lol.
I don't get it…OFTEN! when I try to learn a trick…ESPECIALLY when I started…I would spend hours on the same trick…it's not going to come naturally until later..a lot feel similar.
I thoroughly enjoyed this vid!
