REPLYYeah I'm trying to figure out how I can open up the mounts on my rear wheel from a 3/8" axle to accept a 14mm axel I want this new KHE 9T cassette hub instead of the old skool 16T cog I got a new 3 piece crank with sealed bearings and the upgraded cups to drop the old one piece crank and ball bearing sets its turned out awesome. I want the 9T driver to fit on my old ass rolds royce union. It's totally doable. I'm about to take either a file or a grinder to the mounts and yeah my 2.35 tires just barely squeeze in my old skool frame

REPLYI had the same GT Performer when I was a kid in 1997! Pretty much same color mine was just a little darker. Had white 5 point star mags. Got it mint for only $40 at a flea market. I loved that bike!

REPLYLove it! I've been doing this with 60's and 70's 20" muscle bikes lately. Huffy Rails and Schwinn Stingray style frames. I love mixing the banana bike and BMX stuff together.

@reddsshaker3477
REPLYI approve. You eliminated the ugliest part of the bike….the bland modern frame. I hate that they all look exactly the same. Old school BMX bikes had character. 👌🏼 I’m currently building up an ‘83 Torker 280. 🤘🏼

@roberthatfull3816
REPLYIv done this with my midskool eastern jane it runs a 25t sprocket with a semi sealed bb bearing setup and as its chainstay brakeing it works well theres also a modern wheelset with a 9t driver its lightened it up a bit too and is more rideable i did the same to my old holmes and it rode luverly 🤘
